A Teen Takes a Storm Drain Dive to Save Her Phone

If your phone fell down a storm drain would you go in after it?  16-year-old Ella Birchenough from Kent, England said heck yeah!

Ella accidentally dropped her phone down a storm drain on Wednesday.  It was one of those drains by the curb with a narrow opening. She figured, "Yeah I can Fit".

Wrong!  Ella was too big for the drain and she got stuck.  She went in feet first, and ended up with her head and upper body sticking up into the street.   Of course the people who still had their cell phones took pictures of her!

Firefighters eventually got Ella and her phone out, turns out the phone, a Blackberry, was destroyed.
