Think back to your youth. What music comes to mind? Rolling Stone put together a list of 40 great albums that stand the test of time, and they're albums the kids today probably have no idea even exist.

I've seen the list, and have chose my top 5 of their 40. Feel free to check out all 40 and see which one you agree with, or disagree.

Supertramp - Breakfast in America (1979)

It contained the classic hits, "The Logical Song", "Goodbye Stranger", "Take the Long Way Home", and "Breakfast in America".

Robert Cray - Strong Persuader (1986)

Caught the video for this song and had a sense of Deja-vu. Turns out I saw him in the movie "Animal House" as the bass player in the Otis Day Band. "Smoking Gun" will still be strong song as long as the blues live.

Bob Seger - Night Moves (1976)

The title song just seem to capture a moment in time for me. It didn't hurt that I lived in a town that had a drive in theater. Add in the other hits,"Mainstreet, "Rock and Roll Never Forgets," "The Fire Down Below," and "Mary Lou" and you've got a album for the ages.

The Guess Who - American Woman (1970)

This one is a bit humbling. These "Friendly" Canadians ripped the women of America, but we still loved the song. The other hits "No Time" & "No Sugar Tonight" make this a great album. Be honest, when you hear it today, do you think that it's 44 years old?

The Cars - The Cars (1978)

There are many reason why this album stands the test of time. It spent 139 weeks on the charts for one, the other is the hits "My Best Friend's Girl","Good Times Roll", "You're All I've Got Tonight," "Bye Bye Love," "All Mixed Up," and "Moving in Stereo," which of course we can't no hear without picturing Phoebe Cates coming out of a pool in slow motion.
