Game of Thrones Intro Given the Nintendo Treatment

Things like this are what make the internet so awesome.

YouTube user NicksplosionFX has given the intro to HBO’s ‘Game of Thrones’ the 16-bit treatment, transforming the show’s infectiously hummable theme song into an 8-bit masterpiece and setting the bloody tale of warring clans in Super Mario World’s Dinosaur Land.

I can imagine it now: Mario and Luigi competing for the Mushroom Throne against the Mad King Bowser and Princess Peach, who commands an army of Yoshis. Throw Wario and the dozen or so other Super Mario side characters into the mix and you have fanfiction gold!
