32 of the Very Worst UK Number One Singles of All-Time (and Some From the USA)

This is a playlist compiled by the erstwhile British music magazine NME, aka The New Music Express. It is not an attempt by me to slam our UK brethren. We have plenty to be ashamed of in  some of the stuff we have loved then lumped in a ball by the musical trash can. But this list is so stunning in its awfulness that the Brits really do deserve credit for creativity in what passes for a hit in their land. Don't be shocked, however, if you see some familiar cuts on this list; we had momentary lapses in judgment which dovetailed with theirs. Except for Mr. Blobby; I have no idea what that is.
