Once back in the day, music videos were shot in a couple hours with the band flouncing about on a nondescript set, the monotony broken up by the odd shot of a small person dancing in smoke with a ferret in slow motion. Then, somebody gave these video kids a budget, and things got fancy. Real damn fancy. READ ON!

Yeah, here you go. This is a video! You got gun play. You got a femme fatale. You got Glen Frey acting. You even have dialogue, lifted straight from every cop show ever. "We got...garbage." There's even a little turn-a-round at the end, with it being pretty certain that a former Eagle who isn't Don Henley IS ABOUT TO GET HIS SMUG FACE SHOT. This video set a bar few had the budget to top, and it even inspired an episode of the show it very well resembles, Miami Vice. The video won Frey an MTV Video Music Award in 1985. So good for him, because the album this song comes from, The Allnighter, ABSOLUTELY SUUUUUUCKS.  I am not kidding. I bought it at Half Price Books today and, a few songs in, wanted to throw it out the car window.

Ghhaaaa, what the hell, man? Did Henley get all the talent in the break up?

Sorry. Anyway, this song is quite entertaining, and it is your K-101.7 Song Of The Day!

(By the way, that's his then wife Janie playing his accomplice. Now you know.)

And now, if you will, check out this cool thing we done did, just for you. Have a watch.  Daddy needs the uniques, baby.
