Feel Good Songs Week  continues with a calorie free, empty, bubblegum pop hit manufactured for a cartoon band. It was also one of the biggest hits of the sixties and is absolutely insidious in it's insurmountable catchieness.  It's almost machined-tooled in it's sugar buzz perfection.

It was played for radio station people  without telling them the name of the group. It was only after they liked the song were they were told that it was performed by a cartoon group. It then went on to become one of the biggest number-one hits of the year,  thanks in part  to the hit CBS-TV Saturday morning cartoon series.
