We've all seen the results, especially from California and their newly-crafted regulations on marijuana as voted on by the people. There are some places in this country where relaxation is real. Pun intended.

I honestly think Texas will be one of the last places to see relaxation of marijuana laws. I just spent an evening in the place, a public gathering facility, where people were warned via loudspeaker to not do any cussing. While I do believe that we are living in a society which is becoming more crass and course, telling people they can let out a word here or there is a bit much. They were also warned to refrain from smoking and there was absolutely no alcohol on the premises.

Only last month was tattooing legalized in Temple. Ink has reached an all-time acceptance high and only just became legal? No, I don't see pot legalized.

Just to be clear lest someone misconstrue what I'm trying to say: I think possession and simple offenses should be rolled back but I don't think the wholesale legalization of the pot trade is a smart public health policy adjustment. Yet this decision is one rational adults can make for themselves.
