The Tax Man Cometh So Sendth in Your Return

The Final Countdown, to Tax Day!   AAIIEE! Don't Panic!  There is still time.

I finally finished ours. The hubby and I procrastinated because we had to write the government a check. I really should get them to take another 20 dollars out of my paycheck every two weeks to cover it for next year.

Anyway if you are still not ready to commit all the figures to paper you can file an extension.  You don't even have to have a reason.  If you think you are going to owe the government, you are supposed to send a payment along with that extension form.  If you don't have the money, file the extension anyway, that way you won't be penalized for not filing on time and you can make arrangements for payment.

Of course look out for those scammers who call and threaten to have you arrested if you don't pay your taxes?   Listen to this guy who refused to become a victim.

If you get one of those calls, hang up on them, or string them along if you have time to kill, but never ever give out personal information or give them any money.  The IRS never calls, they send you mail.
