Saturday morning, when arrriving in Arlington to set up to broadcast the Texas high school football championships, it was sunny and somewhere in the mid-70's. When we left at 4:00 that afternoon, it felt like a different day in a different season in a different place altogether.

No wonder I have a sore throat. It was a scratchy threat Friday; today, it hurts to swallow. Sucks.

Notice the two towns which did not have the largest drop were also the towns with the lowest of the lows in this region. Of course, when it's this spine-tingling cold it's all relative. The number and the drop aren't relevant because it's damned cold outside.

How cold was it? Exhibit 2: it was colder in Central Texas than New York City. The Pace Picante folks won't like that. Get a rope.
