Former members of "Bauhaus, Daniel Ash (Vocals, guitar, Sax), David J (Bass & vocals), and Kevin Haskins (drums & synths), formed in 1985.  They mixed "underground" rock with bits of pop and made a blueprint for a new alternative rock.  They put out 7 albums but their biggest hit came in 1989 with "So Alive".  It hit #3 on the Billboard Hot 100.

When I started working in radio in 1988, government officials had yet to be paid off by big business, so it was impossible to own more than 2 stations in a town, so record company's had to deal with a lot of individual stations.  What all this means is, lots of free music.

Hey Gang, In case you missed it on the morning show, James Harrison featured a one hit wonder from Randy VanWarmer.  It's "Just When I Needed You Most".  It hit number one in 1979. One thing you might not have known, it was a B-side.  His record company released the song "Gotta Get Outta Here" and "Just When I Needed You Most" was on the B-side.  Back in the day DJ's
