There was a time when you couldn't record shows. Do you remember that? The idea of it was so threatening to television that it was brought before the Supreme Court. TV thought if you recorded their shows, you were infringing on their copy-write. Sony won the court battle, but ended up losing the tape war to JVC's VCR tape, but how did they lose?
