(Sports Network) - Alabama remained the undisputed choice as the top-ranked team in the nation, while South Carolina moved up three spots to third in the rankings.

The Crimson Tide received all 60 first-place votes and a total of 1,500 points from a nationwide media panel. Alabama was not in action this past weekend due to a bye week.

Oregon remained second following its 52-21 victory over Washington. South Carolina, Florida and West Virginia all moved up multiple spots to round out the top-five.

The Gamecocks improved to 6-0 with a 35-7 win over Georgia. South Carolina set a new school record with its 10th straight win dating back to last season.

Florida moved up six spots after its 14-6 victory over LSU, while West Virginia jumped three positions with a 48-45 victory at Texas.

Kansas State, Notre Dame, Ohio State, LSU and Oregon State round out this week's top 10. The Buckeyes moved up four spots following their 63-38 win over Nebraska.

The second 10 consists of USC, Florida State, Oklahoma, Georgia, Texas, Clemson, Stanford, Louisville, Mississippi State and Rutgers. The Seminoles dropped nine spots following their 17-16 loss to North Carolina State.

Cincinnati, Texas A&M, Louisiana Tech, Boise State and Michigan are the last five teams ranked this week. All five teams are new to the poll. Louisiana Tech is ranked for first time since 1999.
