Leopards lose to No 1 South Plains in OT

No. 1 ranked South Plains College needed overtime to pull out a 77-74 win against Temple College on Tuesday night at TC Gym.

Yanick Moreira scored 24 points to lead the NJCAA defending champion Texans (6-0) to their 42nd consecutive victory. Jordan Roach paced the Leopards (4-1) with 23 points and six steals in their first loss of the season. Both teams will meet up again at South Plains' Texan Classic in Levelland on November 30.

The Leopards will return to action with a 4:00 PM tipoff against Jacksonville College at the Lewis Orr Classic this Thursday in Corsicana hosted by No. 17 Navarro College.
