I came across an online post this morning re: drive-in movie theatres still being open across the USA. There's one in our listening area still showing movies: The Last Drive-in Picture Show (what a cool name!)

Can you imagine watching the new Star Wars or James Bond movie in your car! I'm not talking about from a screen embedded in the back of a head rest, I'm talking about the drive-in theater a great American folklore.

When I was a kid my parents didn't want to go to the drive-in theater because they'd gotten quite used to the convenience and comfort of the local multiplex. I can't blame 'em. In the summertime it's 89 degrees and there're mosquitoes all over. The winter is too cold even with powdered hot chocolate.

Still some folks don't mind, according to the report from the Voice of America.
