1974 for this one. A banner year for long haired rock and roll. A stellar year to drop a second album for Gainsville, Florida's biggest band. Yeah, Sweet Home Alabama was on this one, and you'll hear that every day, all the time somewhere on the radio. Here's another fabulous song, excellently produced by the great Al Kooper, written by J.J. Cale. Skynryd did a lot of songs about leaving, about the freedom to bail out of a situation, lighting out for greener pastures, sometimes regardless of the consequences for those left behind, to the open road, sometimes in the opposite direction of a firearm.
