Singer/guitarist/all round dude Pat Travers is way under rated by Joe Casual Rock Fan. Not as revered as Clapton, not as flashy as that other guy, his name escapes me, the one with the weird name, always wore glasses? Pat Travers bridged the gap between bluesy gritty eighties playing and the technical "look at me, ma, I'm a guitar genius" mastery of the eighties.  He created a mighty roar. When I was a kid, and the Oasis rock hour rocked the local station at nine o'clock every week day night, and the classic rock tore through the airwaves, this was one of the sure fire crowd pleasers. A high point of the show. A great sing-a-long tune that stills carries a big party whomp whenever it plays. And it's a cover of this:

Gotta love that. Travers rocked that bad boy seven way to Sunday, to coin a phrase. The song was recorded in early 1979, produced by future Judas Priest producer Tom Allom and it's an instant party jam. if you enjoy it, go check out some other Pat Travers tunes. They're great fun.
