You hear the phrase "gentle giant" thrown about often but we had just that in the studio here at K1017 Friday morning.

To my eyes, the dog called "Prince"  has both size and sweetness going for him.  Docile enough to handle small children and those frightened by animals, but large enough to be an animal of real substance! And speaking of substance,  I sure would like to know what it was that attracted the attention of Prince's schnozzola; he couldn't get enough sniffing of whatever it was next to the baseboards. Maybe there's a bloodhound in his lineage.

Temple Animal Services is located at 620 Mama Dog Circle in Temple, just off 31st Street and Avenue H. To learn about adopting this sweet little dog or one just right for you and your family, click here for the City of Temple Website. They also have GIFT CERTIFICATES so your loved one can pick out the perfect pet of their own.

Be sure to listen in every Friday morning on K101.7 when Temple’s top Animal Services officer Walter Hetzel joins us in studio with another furry friend.

Our weekly segments with our pets of the week are brought to you by Rescue Magazine. All of the animal agencies in Central Texas are represented in this publication including Temple’s Animal Shelter.
