Inside the Wildcat Press Box, Final Four: Temple vs. Foster

There are only four teams left in 5A Division I Texas State Playoffs. That means if the Temple Wildcats prevail over Foster, they're in the State Championship game! Let's not get carried away yet, though. The Wildcats have a battle ahead of them here at Bobcat Stadium. Stay tuned for the pre-game show at 1 p.m. followed by kickoff at 2 p.m.

QUARTER 1
TEMPLE WINS THE COIN TOSS AND ELECTS TO DEFER!!!!

RF 1: #9 Wiley kicks it through the endzone. CATS force the 3 and out~!!!!!!!!

T1: CATS driving all the way down to the RF 18 in 4 plays!!!!!! CATS forced to settle for a field goal. CATS go up 3-0, 7:23 in the 1st.

RF 2: CATS special teams start RF on their 16. RF drives down and scores. 7-3, RF up, 2:46 in the 1st.

T2: RF forces the 3 and out. CATS punt.

RF 3: CATS force the punt!!!! CATS called for the illegal block.

T3: Ball moved back to the CATS 5. CATS make it out to the 31, after facing 3rd and 20, before being forced to punt. RF starts at their own 45.

QUARTER 2

RF 4: RF driving, at the CATS 25. RF makes it to the CATS 11, go for a FG........ MISSED!!!!!!! WIDE RIGHT!!!!!!!!!!T

T4: CATS drive the length of the field, throw a 34 yard TOUCHDOWN to #1 Heckstall!!!!!!! CATS go up 10-7!!!!!!!!!!

RF 5: Ball at the 13 after an illegal block foul. RF driving, ball at the RF 37. RF drives down, get a favorable call at the CATS 15, but the CATS D holds and forces a FG!!!!! 10-10, 0:38 in the half.

T 5: CATS run the ball a few times and the clock runs out. HALFTIME.

QUARTER 3

T1: CATS deferred to the 2nd half, so they take the kickoff to start the 2nd half. CATS start on their own 25. CATS turn the ball over at midfield.

RF1: RF drives down to the CATS 11, and they convert the reception for the touchdown. RF takes the lead 17-10, 8:59 in the 3rd.

T2: CATS, with a flag, get backed up to their own 10. #4 Hesse hits #81 Z. Johnson for the 90 yard TOUCHDOWN!!!!!!!!!!! EXTRA POINT IS GOOD!!! TIE BALL GAME, 17-17.

RF2: CATS force the punt.

T3: CATS down to the RF 40 in one long play after the touchback. CATS down to the RF 29. CATS take it down and score the 3 yard TOUCHDOWN. EXTRA POINT GOOD. CATS take the lead 24-17!!!!!!!!!!!!

RF3: RF down to the CATS 24 after a sustained drive.

QUARTER 4

T4: LONG DRIVE, AND THE CATS SCORE FROM THE 2 YARD LINE!!!!!! CATS GO UP 31-24!!!!! 8:52 in the game!!!!!!!!!!
