20,000 Pounds of Illegal Fireworks Set off in Midland

Police in Midland Texas had a tough job to do. They needed to destroy 20,000 pounds of illegal fireworks.

I know what you're thinking. They could sell tickets to the show and donate the money to a local charity. Which would be a great PR move, because that's one thing police are in short demand these days.

They could even attach it to movie if they had a drive-in theater. Something like "Bring the kids to see the new "Cinderella" movie and watch an amazing fireworks display afterward. All proceeds will be donated to the local food pantry". Sounds good doesn't it. How could you mess this great opportunity up?

Well you could NOT invite anyone to come watch. Not charge any fee. Not donate any money to a local charity. And then, the rotten cherry on top, you could set them off in the daytime. Guess which one they chose.
