BELTON, Texas – The University of Mary Hardin-Baylor men's soccer team scored four goals against the University of the Ozarks Saturday afternoon before the game was called with 15:54 left to play due to rain. The Cru improved to 8-3-1 overall and 6-1-1 in American Southwest Conference action, while the Eagles fell to 3-8-1 overall and 3-6-0 in conference play.

Derek Geels recorded a hat trick in the match, scoring one goal off a penalty kick in the first half and two unassisted goals in the second. Chris Torres also put a shot in the net, heading in a corner kick from Tyler Pate. The Cru outshot the Eagles 16-1 in the match with Geels recording seven for UMHB. Brandon Stegmeyer played the majority of the contest in the goal, recording one save.

UMHB will return be on the road next week with a 3 p.m. match at Mississippi College on October 18th and a 3 p.m. kickoff at Louisiana College on October 20th.
