This week we heard of the passing of Judy Carne, the first Mrs. Burt Reynolds, and along with Goldie Hawn one of the visually-stimulating reasons for tuning in to Rowan & Martin's Laugh-In. She is largely responsible for popularizing the phrase "Sock It To Me!"

As much as I love Laugh-In, there's a piece of TV history I love even more and even when someone passes, I like sharing. Judy appeared in a most classic installment of The Tonight Show Starring Johnny Carson from 1969. How classic? The Onion's AVClub.com said this about it:

"Sometimes a single TV episode can exemplify the spirit of its time and the properties that make television a unique medium."

They're not kidding. When people think of the freewheeling 1960s of the Rat Pack and Roger Sterling, this March 6, 1969 show is EXACTLY what they're talking about! If you've never seen this show, you MUST grab a cocktail and be transported back. It helps that Bob Hope and especially Dean Martin show up to wreak complete havoc. And then-29-year-old Judy is about to slide out of her outfit.
