Mack Brown announced Friday that two Texas football players have been suspended for breaking team rules.

"As has been reported, we had a couple young men that broke team rules last night," Brown said. "They have been suspended from the team and will be sent home. They will not be available for the game."

Brown would not address questions from the media regarding the suspension, nor would he release the names of the athletes in question.

Orangebloods.com has since confirmed the two players suspended and sent home from the Alamo Bowl for breaking team rules are junior LB Jordan Hicks and junior backup QB Case McCoy.

Sources said McCoy and Hicks were suspended for a violating an 11 pm curfew two nights before the Alamo Bowl against Oregon State.

KENS-TV in San Antonio reported Friday morning that police are investigating an accusation from a 21-year-old woman that she was sexually assaulted in her hotel room by two Texas football players between 2 am and 2:40 am Friday.

Police officials told Orangebloods.com the suspects have been interviewed and have been cooperative.

As of Friday afternoon, no arrests had been made and no charges had been filed in the case.
