HOUSTON - The Texas Longhorns played a solid game against the UCLA Bruins in Houston in a 65-63 loss. The Longhorns are still playing shorthanded with the loss of Jaylen Bond due to injury and the status of point guard Myck Kabongo still in the hands of the NCAA.

The Longhorns allowed the Bruins to go on an 11-0 run to take the lead away from Texas. The Longhorns only made one basket in the last five minutes of the game. Turnovers were the Longhorns undoing in the final minutes of the game.

Texas falls to 5-4 and the Bruins improves to 6-3 on the young season.

The Longhorns will return home to face the Texas State Bobcats on Saturday December 15 at the Frank Erwin Center at 7 pm on Sports Radio 101.7 The Ticket.
