Kenny Rogers Hits #1 With Lionel Richie Song

It was on this day, 33 years ago, that the long career of Kenny Rogers hit a milestone, but he needed help from a Commodore to reach it.

November 15th, 1980 was the day that the Kenny Rogers classic "Lady" hit number one on the charts.  It was written and produced by Commodore front man Lionel Richie.  18 years later Lionel recorded the song himself on his album "Time".  In 2012 they got together and performed it as a duet on the album "Tus "Tuskegee".
