Hey Gang,

Big day in music history as the band The Hooters went Gold on this day in 1985.

"Nervous Night" was certified Gold on this day in 1985.  The Hooters, from Philly, started on the rise to fame with an offer to write, arrange and play on a album from a new singer, Cyndi Lauper.  In fact, Hooters member Rob Hyman wrote the hit "Time After Time", which went to number one.  As a Band the Hooters launched to the big time when they got the opening slot at Live Aid in Philadelphia.

By the time the 90's rolled around their success in the U.S. on waning, but they were peaking in Europe. They continued to tour Europe till 1995 when the took a break to focus on individual projects.
