FC Dallas Signs Argentine Forward Jara

Frisco, TX (Sports Network) - FC Dallas signed Argentine forward Matias Jara on Tuesday.

Jara, 25, last played for Argentine second division side Guillermo Brown. He scored two goals in 15 matches for the club. Jara has also played at Chacarita Juniors and C.A.I. in lower divisions, and Godoy Cruz in the first division.

"Matias gives us some much needed depth at striker," FC Dallas coach Schellas Hyndman said. "It's no secret we've been hit hard with injuries this year and we needed more experience and options at such a high impact position."

Per league and team policy, terms of the deal will not be disclosed.
