The Copperas Cove Bulldawgs (3-1, 1-0 8-5A) will travel to Killeen to face the Grey Wolves of Shoemaker High School (1-3, 0-1 8-5A) for a Thursday night showdown at Leo Buckley Stadium.

Copperas Cove enters the contest on a roll, winning three straight games and riding a 64-28 District 8-5A opening victory over Killeen High School (3-1, 0-1 8-5A).

Junior Vondaraez King led the Dawgs rushing attack against Killeen with 161 yards on 22 carries for an average of 7.3 yards per touch and a pair of touchdowns.

In their previous meetings, the Dawgs have outscored the Grey Wolves 419-92, dating back to 2004.

The Grey Wolves fell in their district opener 62-29 to Temple. The Wildcats limited District 8-5A leading rusher Johnny Jefferson 59 yards on 15 carries for a pair of touchdowns.
