If you chose to feel the heat and humidity that only Houston can deliver, then be sure to stay at the Marriott Marquis. At least you can lounge Texas Style.

The Marriott Marquis in Houston has opened up it's famous Texas shaped lazy river pool to the public for the first time.

KHOU11 is reporting that you can get a pass to the pool starting at $50. It'll be available Monday thru Thursday.

If you get some friends together, you can get the expensive pass, which will get you a shaded gazebo, comfortable seating, chilled towels, 4 bottles of water, and a plate of fresh fruit. It's a pass for 6 people and will cost $1,200. So if you know 6 people, and each of you can afford $200, it'll be a great way to spend a hot Texas day. Although two of you will have to go without drinking water.

Here's a list of some of the other pass prices.

Here are the pass options:

  • Day Pass ($50, per person)
  • Spa Pass ($75, per person)
  • Day Bed ($220, max 2 people)
  • Cabana ($275, max 2 people)
  • Pergola ($475, max 6 people)
  • Single Gazebo ($300, max 6 people)
  • Double Gazebo ($1200, max 10 people)
