What happens when a season of Friday night lights and a Saturday night live prep game come together in the greatest football palace in Texas and the world? You'll find out!

After a stunning victory over powerhouse Port Arthur Memorial which left that teen team and their fans in the throes of the paralysis of pure shock, the Temple Wildcats, perpetrators of that defeat, advance to the next round with a game at the same location as the upcoming state championship.

The Temple Wildcats will take on Manvel High this Saturday night at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas, home of the Dallas Cowboys and widely cited as one of the most spectacular football facilities and athletic venues in the entire world. Nicknamed "Jerryworld" after Cowboys' owner Jerry Jones, its very much the stadium of the future and the modern day successor to the Roman coliseum, only with wi-fI and Jumbotrons.

Kickoff is at 8:00 PM Saturday night and you can hear all of the action on K101.7 FM and K1017FM.com as well as the RadioPup smartphone app.

If I may invoke a bit of personal privilege as the author of this post, I am so excited to be producing this broadcast from this high caliber NFL facility.  We've been to some incredible facilities this season:  The Berry Center, McLane Stadium at Baylor University, Waco ISD, and Bryan all come to mind as some of the best press boxes and broadcast booths we've been in this year.  In the past, I've been involved with broadcasts in the Mercedes-Benz Superdome and other hallowed stadiums. And yet, I'm genuinely excited about this weekend!

Of course, we're all very happy for the Wildcats who keep finding a way to win.  We hope this is the first of two visits to AT&T Stadium this season!
