When the United States Product Safety Commission sends the word out about a faulty appliance it is something worth listening to.

According to the commission over 26,000 of these are in homes across the country right now. The recall is due to the cooktops turning on by themselves which could lead to a serious burn or injury.

According to the press release, the folks at Whirlpool are ready to help you figure out if you have one of the defective units. Call them up and they'll walk you through getting this replaced.
