Yesterday, we shared the story of a teenager who was having dinner with friends at Whataburger when a man who didn't like his Make America Great Again hat snatched it off his head, then threw a drink in his face and stormed off.

Today, that man is in custody and charged with state felony theft.

According to records, 30-year-old Kino Jimenez was booked into the Bexar County Jail at 9:12 PM Thursday. He was still in custody as of this article's publication.

Police believe Jimenez is the man seen throwing the drink in a Facebook video that was shared thousands of times before being removed from social media and casts a light on the ugly state of civil discourse in modern America.

As I wrote yesterday, it's ridiculously easy to avoid this type of situation. Here's a handy list of what you should do if someone is wearing clothes supporting a political candidate you don't like:

Step 1) Ignore them.

Step 2) See Step 1.

No matter where we fall on the political spectrum, it's now more important than ever that we treat each other with dignity and respect. Nothing good will come of getting violent with each other and destroying the fabric of our civilization.

Mid-term elections are coming up. If you've got a problem with what you're seeing happen on Capitol Hill, then go vote. Just try not to rip some kid's hat off his head and throw a drink in his face on the way to the polls.
