Americans are certainly not strangers to apologizing politicians and public figures. I am not sure how new the practice is in Japan, but this latest "explanation of perceived wrong doing" is certainly full of drama.

This politician in Japan is accused of keeping the $40,000 he was supposed to spend on plane tickets.  On Tuesday, he held a press conference to explain himself, but ended up crying through the whole thing!

 

 

 

 

The video is in Japanese, but translators say he was yelling that the media doesn't understand what's going on, and he really DID use the money to buy plane tickets, even though he hasn't been able to provide any receipts.

 

So Get Offa Him!
