Waco Man Arrested After Spamming 911 to Talk About ‘Sixth Sense’

Waco police were forced to arrest a man who continuously called 911 Tuesday morning to talk about his 'sixth sense'.

According to a post on the Waco Police Department's Facebook page, Otis Degrate was charged with abuse of 911 service after calling seven times in two hours, insisting that he would keep calling. Police at first tried to be nice and asked him to call their non-emergency line (254-750-7500), but Mr. Degrate refused.

Police were using the incident as an opportunity to remind people that 911 is for emergencies only. To be fair though, it's possible Mr. Degrate was suffering from a mental health emergency. If that's the case, we certainly hope he got the help he needs.
