Volunteers Needed for Wreath Preparation

The Friends of the Central Texas State Veterans Cemetery needs volunteers.

Every year they depend on volunteers to make this a success.

The wreath preparation will be on November 23rd at the Killeen Special Events Center, volunteers will be asked to fluff silk wreaths and attach bows before loading them on trucks for delivery to the cemetery.

The wreath-laying will be a week later on November 30th at Central Texas State Veterans Cemetary on I-195 in Killeen.

A short ceremony will include family members laying wreaths at the site of their loved ones. Volunteers will assist.

More help will be needed for retrieval on January 11th as volunteers will be asked to pick up the wreaths and load on trucks for storage for next year.
