Sad music career long over, he had finally found himself, attacking with great gusto a new career as a nationally televised host of home renovation shows. He was hanging with the Amish. Then, there was a house next door to one he was renovating, and stuff went missing and turned up in Vanilla's house and, faster than you can wax a chump like a candle, charges of residential burglary and grand theft ranged out like a bell. Van Winkle voluntarily met with detectives, providing a sworn statement before he was taken into custody.
