Two More Teens Charged in Connection to Temple Walmart Shooting

It's been almost two weeks since two 16-year-old girls were arrested in connection to a fatal shooting at a Temple Walmart, and police now say two more teens are in custody and awaiting extradition to Bell County.

The Bell County District Attorney's Office issued murder warrants against Rashari Brent and Chelsea Swint on Saturday, December 15. Both were people of interest in the fatal shooting of Isaac Kohlhass on Wednesday, December 5. Kohlhaas was gunned down in the parking lot of the Walmart at 6801 W Adams Avenue in Temple as part of what appears to have been a plan to rob him as he was dealing marijuana. Kohlhaas was transported to Baylor Scott & White Hospital in Temple after the shooting, where he passed away as a result of his wounds.

Records indicate Rashari Nae Fonne Brent was in the Alvin S. Glenn Detention Center in Richland County, South Carolina Wednesday afternoon. She was arrested by federal marshals Friday, December 14. Her charges were listed as receiving stolen goods and being a fugitive from justice.

Chelsea Gabriella Swint was in the Larimer County, Colorado Jail Wednesday afternoon. Swint was arrested Tuesday, and her charge was listed as murder.

Photos of the suspects were not immediately available.

According to Temple police, a 16-year-old girl turned herself in at Temple PD headquarters on the evening of Friday, December 7. Another 16-year-old was arrested at her home in the 1700 block of South 15th Street later that evening. Both girls were charged with murder and placed in juvenile detention in Killeen.

Due to the ages, the names of the two 16-year-olds have not been release.

According to police, one of the 16-year-olds told investigators Brent and Swint planned to rob Kohlhaas when they met with him in the Walmart parking lot. Surveillance footage shows Kohlhaas's car pull into the lot, after which a dark sedan driven by Swint pulls up close.

Brent and one of the 16-year-old girls are then seen exiting the sedan and getting into Kohlhaas's vehicle. A short time later, the two are seen running from Kohlhaas's vehicle and back into the Sedan, after which Kohlhaas exits his vehicle and collapses.
