KWTX reports a couple of men attempted to walk into the H-E-B in Gatesville with a giant hunting knife to commit robbery. Thankfully it seems the two chickened out and fled the scene.

Law enforcement got ahold of the two men and arrested them on deadly conduct charges. Gatesville police Cheif Nathan Gholke described the two men as walking into the H-E-B on Main and Lutterloh with a large hunting knife. The two suspects drove away from the store as police sent out a bulletin describing their vehicle. Not long after the bulletin was issued Valley Mills and Clifton police along with Bosque County Sheriff's deputies located the men headed down State Highway 6 and arrested the men.

The knife believed to have been used in the attempted robbery was found in the vehicle. As of mid-Thursday afternoon, the identities of the men had not been released.
