If you've been outside today at all, I don't need to tell you it's been windy. Now Central Texas is under a Tornado Watch.

The National Weather Service issued the watch Friday afternoon, and it's currently forecast to be in effect until 9 PM. Showers and thunderstorms continued to develop West of I-35, and many will likely increase in severity with wind gusts up to 65 mph and golf ball sized hail a strong possibility.

According to our partners at News 10, storms are expected to form a line and head east after sunset. Once that line is formed, hail chances are diminished, but the potential for isolated tornadoes will continue. The line is expected to approach Coryell, Bell, and McLennan Counties between 5 PM and 7 PM and cross I-35 between 8 PM and 9 PM.

Please be careful as you're making your way home. Give yourself plenty of time, as well as plenty of room between your vehicle and other drivers. If you see water covering a roadway, turn around, don't drown. Be sure to bring any outdoor pets inside or arrange for them to have a warm, dry shelter.
