Coca-Cola recently announced their plans to join the the world of hard seltzers.

According to a press release, Coca Cola is working on producing a hard seltzer inspired by Topo Chico. The company is hoping to test the new seltzer later this year in Latin America. Word on the street is that the US can expect to see this new seltzer on shelves in 2021.

I have to admit I was very hesitant to hop on the hard seltzer train, but after testing a few White Claws and Trulys, I can say they are pretty tasty! The weird thing is that I absolutely hate sparkling water. In my opinion sparkling water tastes like pure carbonation, and that's just no bueno.

I understand the appeal though - not as much sugar but with the same refreshing bubbly taste. The first hard seltzer flavor from Topo Chico is expected to be tangy lemon lime flavor, which, let's admit is pretty basic. I hope they have plenty of other flavors to offer, because the hard seltzer business is full of competition.

Will you be trying Topo Chico's new hard seltzer? What flavor would you like to see? Let us know in the comments.
