Tom Herman Wants To Play A&M “It’s Great For Texas”

It's been eight years since the Longhorns and Aggies played each other in football and Texas Head Coach Tom Herman believes that's eight years too many, as reported by Josh Bean of AL.com.

Over the last few years, Texas has expressed far more interest in renewing the rivalry, despite not only holding the overall better matchup record but also coming out on top the last time the two met. You'd think they would have a chip on their shoulder.

“I’d love to see the rivalry renewed, I think it’s great for college football. It’s great for Texas.”

A couple of years ago Texas offered to renew the series, but the Aggies declined.

“It would be great for Texas fans, we don’t play a historic rival at home anymore ever. … I have no idea what needs to happen to make it happen.”
