Ah, Spring in Texas! Is there a more turbulent time of year weatherwise? One day it's hot and stuffy, and the next, you're digging out your jacket and cranking up the heater.

A cold front is moving into Central Texas, and Sean Bellafiore with our partners at News 10 predicts patchy frost by Wednesday morning.

Although temperatures were cool this morning in the 40s and low 50s, highs are expected to reach into the upper 60s and low-to-mid 70s before the cold front arrives and temperatures reverse course and fall.

We will get a few clouds with today’s front, but the northern winds will greatly increase. The sustained winds will be between 15 and 20 MPH with gusts between 25 and 35 MPH at times. Overnight, winds are expected to subside a bit, and the skies will remain clear, allowing frost to form.

Yep - there's a chance you could see some frost in the morning.

Early Wednesday morning's lows should fall into the mid-to-upper 30s and shatter the previous record low of 43 F set in 1910. It should be cold enough for frost to form.

For McLennan, Coryell, Lampasas, San Saba, Mills, Hamilton, Bosque, Hill, and Navarro Counties, a frost advisory will be in effect tonight, and frost is most likely to form. Although frost is expected, if wind speeds stay strong throughout the night, the chances of frost will be lower.

Let's look at the positives here: it won't be anywhere near as cold as it was back in February, and you still have time to wear some of your winter clothes before you have to put them up for a while when summer hits.

So snuggle up with the one you love tonight and enjoy this cool weather!
