So what did last week’s rainfall do for your lawn?  Did it make it more green and luscious? Or did it unleash the FIRE ANTS??? (Dramatic music plays here!)

Walking the dog this weekend was a real breakthrough in fire ant discovery, there were mounds everywhere.  Lawns, fields and almost on the sidewalks.

I could not resist  stepping on a few hills just to watch them swarm.  I did keep my distance once they came out to see what was happening.  I shielded my face so they would not recognize me.   They are so tiny yet they can inflict so much pain!  Can you see the little red beasts?

Most of the hills were so fresh, the Humans hadn’t had time to pour on the poison.  Except for the guy who lives near this pile.  I guess you could say a major catastrophe hit this little ant neighborhood.

With all the hills that popped up after the rain, I can just imagine what kind of little fire ant cities are living underground.  Let’s hope they never organize and decide to come topside and take over the planet.

Hey, has anybody made a movie about that yet?

ATTACK of the FIRE ANTS!!!

I better start working on the script before somebody steals my idea.

Oops,Too Late!
