When I got here in 2002 as a young soldier heading to his first duty station at Fort Hood, I never imagined that this would be the place where I would discover my purpose and chase a dream I always had.

Forget it, I had a whole article prepared to tell you my story but you've heard it a hundred times I'm sure so I'm going to just speak directly from the heart right now.

To all of you in Killeen, Temple, Belton, Fort Hood, Copperas Cove and beyond:

For 6 years you have spent your workdays listening to my tomfoolery, done my best to educate you on things you may not know about and through this amazing platform, have helped to uplift our community. Sometimes I know I may have pissed you off with my opinions but you still came through and showed love.

We've hung out at many events and shows together and become family for life. I am eternally grateful to everyone here in Central Texas. You are the first city to give me my start and launch in this media business and I will forever hold you close to my heart.

But to be honest with you, I've done all I can here. We've built up the market and scene to a point where (true story) legendary comedian Joe Torry told me once that "everyone in the entertainment industry is looking at Killeen". I like to think we've had a hand in making that happen.

And I couldn't have done it without you. Thank you so very much for everything Central Texas, its because of you, you've helped make my dreams come true.

I'm moving on to Tyler-Longview Texas as Townsquare Media has promoted me to Brand Manager/Program Director of KISX the All New 107.3 Kiss-FM. This was a tremendous opportunity I couldn't pass up and a challenge I'm looking forward to conquering.

But this isn't goodbye! I'm still going to be partying with yall on MyKiss1031 on the Friday Night Dance Party and I'm just going 150 miles down the road so I'll still be around and nearby. I love you all and I'm eternally grateful to this amazing community for your many years of support. A Hui Hou.
