Sunday might just be the perfect day for you to disconnect with reality, if even if it is just for just a few hours.  While Veterans Day isn't until Wednesday, November 11th. the Texas Wildlife Department is waiving fees in ALL state parks for everyone, in honor of Veterans Day!  The deal applies for day-use visitors on Sunday only, according to TPWD.  Currently, social distancing guidelines are still in place so TPWD is reminding happy campers that parks have capacity limits, and it is recommended that they reserve a day pass online or by calling 512-389-8900.

Maybe you are looking for a getaway that is a little longer?  How about a weekend camping trip.  There are so many great camping areas with water within drvinig distance of the Crossroads. Now keep in mind most campsites are going to have specific requirements like small group limitations ( but this usually does not include family household size) but they aren't going to be overcrowded with long waiting hours. Get out Victoria and CAMP!

Texas State Parks are open for day users and campers, but with capacity limits. We highly recommend  reserving day passes and overnight stays in advance either online or by calling the customer service center.

We are taking camping reservations for most parks for stays beginning up to five months away. Some parks are not yet allowing overnight camping.

Some parks are taking group reservations for stays beginning up to six months away. Capacity may be reduced due to local COVID-19 regulations. Call the Group Desk at (512) 389-8920 for information.

Check the Texas State Park Map for updates on the status of parks.
