I swear...every other day I come across something that makes me throw my hands in the air and say, "Why didn't we have this when I was a kid?!".

Man, today's kids are spoiled rotten, but hey, good for them; and, this looks like it could be fun for their parents too.

The immersive Dr. Seuss Experience is coming to Houston's George R. Brown Convention Center May 15th through August 15th.

It's a traveling exhibit that's been making its way to cities across North America for a couple of years now, and the website describes it as a "Seuss-tacular sensory spectacle" inspired by 9 of the prolific children's author's books including The Cat in the Hat, the Lorax, Horton Hears a Who, and even The Grinch.

Their FAQ says they'll be taking COVID-19 precautions, including enhanced cleaning of the props that make the experience truly immersive. They say the whole experience takes anywhere from an hour to 90 minutes, so you'll have plenty of time to explore everything.

Check out the trailer above for an idea of what you and your family can expect at the Dr. Seuss Experience. It looks pretty awesome to me. When I was a kid, I used to be overwhelmed by how imaginative, loopy, and busy Dr. Seuss' illustrations were, and I dreamed about running around in those worlds.

I don't have children of my own, but I'm going to see if my brother and sister-in-law want to take my nephew this summer. That'll be my excuse to tag along as a big kid!

If you want to join in on the fun, tickets go on sale April 17. You'll find ticket info here.
