Fall in Central Texas has arrived, and with it, Halloween.

For a lot of people, Halloween is their favorite time of the year, 2020 will certainly be different than years past. COVID-19 has changed the way we do a lot of things as we adjust to the "new normal". Birthday parties have been cancelled, 4th of July was not the same BLAST it is usually is, not mention countless BBQ's, concerts, tailgates and fun at the ol' ballpark that have been cancelled too.

With Halloween just a couple of weeks away, my neighborhood looks like it's ready to let loose and have some fun. Trick or Treating is still a "go" where I live, but not all neighborhoods are feeling the same way.

Temple Parks and Recreation have announced their plans to celebrate, and it includes a Haunted Hayride.

The Haunted Hayride is a narrated tour with scary scenes and creepy characters at Rueben D. Talasek Bend of the River Grounds. It'll be a spooky good time for kids and adults of all ages.

Each trailers will hold 10 people, and no one from outside your group will be allowed to ride with you. You will need to wear your facemask.... so nobody can see you scream.

Each ride lasts about 10-15 minutes and is full of scary stories and curses.

Tickets for the family friendly 3-5p sessions are $40.00, while tickets for the 6-9:45p haunted session are $60.00.

Tickets are on-sale now, and you'll need to act fast to secure your spot. Capacity is limited, and there will be no refunds. All COVID-19 safety protocols are in effect.
