Ted Nugent to Auction Guns, Guitars, and Hot Rods in Waco March 27
If your stimulus money is burning a hole in your pocket, here's a way to spend it.
Motor City Madman turned Texan bow hunter Ted Nugent has amassed quite a collection, and he's going to be auctioning off a good chunk of it in Waco later this month.
Our news partners at KWTX report that Uncle Ted has decided to part with what he is calling the “coolest stuff available to mankind.” More than 400 items will go up for auction on Saturday, March 27 at 10 a.m. at Tucker Hall near Speegleville. The auction is presented by the Burley Auction Gallery.
Some of the musical items up for auction include some vintage, one-of-a-kind guitars like a rare 1958 and 1959 Gibson Les Pauls, a 1956 Fender Stratocaster, a black Gibson Byrdland, an early Paul Reed Smith prototype. Plus more than 200 firearms and bow hunting equipment from his collection will be up for grabs.
Also up for bid will be a fully restored 1968 Ford Bronco and a 2015 Dodge Hellcat Challenger.
“My outrageous, adventurous lifetime has accumulated way too much stuff that anybody could reasonably put to use,” Nugent says while adding, “I am simply streamlining my life’s accumulation but keeping my favorite hundred guns, my favorite 50 guitars and most of my fire-breathing trucks and hot rods! A Gonzo Spring cleaning if you will.”
If you'd like to attend the auction, keep in mind that seating is limited and reservations will be required. Visit www.burleyauction.com or www.tednugentauction.com for more information. Online, phone, and absentee bidding will be accepted as well.
I wonder if his loin cloth will be up for auction?
