Back thirty years we go. Just typing that seems odd, living as we do in the far flung future times of 2015. Check out the background of the song that lit the flame under many an eighties lady, as she too stood up and defiantly threw back in her boyfriend's stupid face that voices did indeed carry.

Hey Gang, One song you don't hear much of anymore is from Til Tuesday. Aimee Mann's voice carried "Voices Carry" into the top 10 on the Billboard chart in 1985.  And it was on this day that it went Gold that same year.  Aimee had a "fun" hair style for the time, but the song itself could've been much more controversial.
