Spring Painting, Here We Come
Spring cleaning and gardening is underway. I've seen folks out mulching, and mowing and trimming and weeding and fertilizing. Not us, we are starting on the inside with this orange room.
See even the dog cannot believe what he is seeing! But yes, this room is orange.
It's "Finding Nemo's" fault, and the solar system. This room became orange after we helped Nemo's Dad find him, and when Travis became fascinated with the solar system. The solar system is just filled with orange. Not wanting to stifle creativity we said yes to the request for an orange room, that was almost 12 years ago, Travis has moved out and the Orange must go.
We have decided on a very light beige. But before we crack open the paint cans, there is so much prep work to do. How come I never see them doing the prep work on the home renovation shows? It's just step right in and slap on the paint.
We have already begun sweeping all the cobwebs off the walls, next comes the spackle, then the primer. My husband says we must do primer because the orange is so bright. I think he is right.
Oh, let's not forget we must apply the blue painters tape to protect the trim, and remove the outlet covers and later on paint the doors.
AAAARGH! Nothing is ever easy!
By the way does anybody know how I can get rid of two big tube TV's? Even the Dog can't believe we still have these!
