Big Q here.  Hope you all had a great weekend.  I'm a Direct TV subscriber so this past weekend I had a free HBO & Cinemax preview weekend, plus, free NFL Ticket.  Funny thing then, that on Sunday afternoon I found myself watching a documentary about a soundboard.  But not just any soundboard, the Neve soundboard from Sound City.

Sound City was a studio in the San Fernando Valley.  It was a pit.  The parking lot would flood when it rained, and the water would come into the building.  There was shag carpet on the walls.  It was brown shag carpet.  Don't know if it started out brown, that's the scary thing.  Why would anyone want to record there?  Two reasons.  First and foremost, the handmade Neve 8028 analog mixing console. Second, history.

The documentary tells the story of how it began in 1969, to the when they closed the doors in 2011, due to the digital age.  If you're a fan of music, you'll enjoy "Sound City".
